3Gs Of Goodness

It don't matter if you're black or white.
Friday was a busy day for Apple and AT&T stores around the country for the release of the long-awaited iPhone 3G.
What makes this phone so special is that it uses 3G technology for faster Internet use. In the palm of our hand, web surfing is now as fast as the high speed service you have at home! It can also use WiFi, if applicable, and EDGE technology that the old iPhone uses. The iPhone 3G comes in a black 8GB for mild media users and black or white 16GB for the hardcore application, media, and music users.
People spent the night at Troy's Somerset Collection to be the first to get their hands on it. When doors opened at 8:00 a.m., the line stretched from the Apple Store all the way to Nordstrom.
(Note: Nordstom is on the other end of Somerset Mall!)
It seemed as though everyone was in line except one person. Me.
I was too busy sleeping/dreaming about the iPhone to even try, plus, waiting in lines just isn't my thing. Luckily, a friend leaked some info about an AT&T store in Oakland Mall that was receiving a shipment of iPhones the following Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Fortunately for me, this secret must have been kept on the low considering that only 20 people were in the store at 11:00 a.m. Soon after, I walked out of AT&T with a shiny new White 16GB iPhone, smiling.
Things I love about it (so far):
The 3G technology that lets me check AngelasEye.com whenever and wherever I am!
The "App Store" on the home screen that lets you add applications to your phone, fun games, AIM, and many more free of charge or for a minimal fee.
A mind-blowing feature that the iPhone has is its movement sensors which enhances game use and allows me to watch videos on a widescreen view!
GPS is new feature as well and pinpoints my exact location. While I am driving or walking to my destination, my point of location on my iPhone follows me everywhere I go, until I get to my desired location!
Lastly, another awesome feature of the new iPhone is that it is half the price of the older iPhone. The 8GB is now $199 and the 16GB is now $299. It's definitely worth it
Good luck trying to find these for the next couple weeks ... and kudos if you do!
