Taupe Is Dope

Not your momma's baked goods.
Hitting the Detroit Urban Craft Fair this weekend was a sensory overload of coolness.
Did you see the Kill Taupe booth boasting work from local artist Jason Driscoll? We sure did. Bright colors, creepy cupcakes, goofy animals and angry veggies? That's right up our alley!
I'd seen his stuff at 323East Art Boutique before and was pretty glad to see a greater amount of Kill Taupe here.
From afar you'd imagine Kill Taupe to be somewhat of a kid-friendly product with its rainbow colors and subjects like fast food, animals robots. etc.
But what really draws me in are the twisted takes on those, like for example, the expressions on the pink cupcakes and the (sometimes censored) voice bubbles coming from a not-so-super-happy vegetable.
You can grab Kill Taupe designs on magnets, stickers, necklaces and prints.
