Pretty pretty headbands from ShopBando.com.
We've taken a keen liking to headbands lately. Not the elastic ones we sweat in at the gym or the terry ones we wear to wash our faces, but the big, fancy pretty ones that burst with color, flowers, maybe some feathers and whatever else might adorn them.
Headbands can pretty much be worn with anything at all times. Really! While we love fancy schmancy hats, too, it just seems that they can be awkward or almost a little too formal for day or grabbing some drinks at the local dive.
Now don't get it twisted, I'm not endorsing updos with baby's breath and mall bangs. More like a simple, little effort hairstyle with a quirky-chic hair accessory that just to happens to look great with a vintage frock, even cut-off jeans shorts and a ruffly blouse, jeans and a tee ... the options are endless.
Here is a short list of a few sites to shop for some of our favorites, or feel free to hit up your fave fabric store, rummage sales or flower shops to find unique gems create your own!
~ VieModerne at Etsy.Com - This Etsy seller has a nice array of headbands with darling decor from leather flowers and taffeta bows to navy feathers - and the prices ain't half bad either, ranging from $18 - $34.
~ Jennifer Ouellette has all the celebs from Gwen Stefani and Christina Aguilera donning her head accoutrements and once you see 'em you'll know why. Peep 'em out at Barneys or at Shop.Jennifer.Ouelette.com.
~ The two stylish stylist gals behind Ban.do create some fantastic accessories boasting some of the brighter, bolder looks. We heart the use of gold sequined trim, oversized silk flowers, vintage tulle and rhinestone brooches. These will cost you a tad bit more but they're totally worth it! Check 'em here at ShopBando.com.
~ Pluma is another spot to get timeless handmade headbands made with pheasant feathers for $48. Visit PlumaShop.com for more.
