Plan B Nightclub was the place to be in Detroit on Thursday, August 14 for Public Media & Burn Rubber's "Brooklyn's Finest."

Aside from catching Brooklyn hip hop MC and DJ Talib Kweli in a rare appearance on the decks and the mic, he sparked a fire in the crowd with his new group Idle Warship. The other two members include the talented MC/singer Graph Nobel and fierce Philly songstress Res.

Before doors opened after 9 p.m., the line to get in wrapped around the building. Once fans and party-goers entered the spot, they either hit the bar, the dance floor as DJ Graffiti played nonstop jams or mingled with the hip, diverse crowd. Kweli arrived later than planned because just minutes before he was set to play the party, his laptop crashed. He scrambled to transfer music to his lady's (DJ Eque) computer. But, it all worked out and we have video footage to prove it!

The vibe was better than right. Drinks were flowing, feet were moving and the whole place looked fresh from the floor to the ceiling. Res rocked the mic and the crowd in her Cavalli boots like she was born to, Nobel kept the people hyped with her sexy voice and fiery stage presence and Kweli, as you can imagine, was on point. Go ahead, watch the video to see what we mean.
