Banks, the party Raider.

Detroit DJ Frank "Frankie Banks" Yaquinto - known for turning the party out, producing his own club bangers like "Tony Danza" and "Meet Me At The Old Miami" and holding down weekly gigs at a few Detroit hot spots stops to talk style before going on tour across the U.S.

1.) First and foremost what's with always rockin' the Raiders hat? When I wear this one old Eazy E type one (that I got in Athens of all places), somebody's always gotta say something about it.

Eazy-Duz-It. Really though, I just thought the hat was cool when I bought it. Since then I've just been too lazy to do my hair and too busy to make it to the mall to buy a new one.

Okay, that being said, do you own a Lions hat?

No, I'm not a big fan of the Lions logo/ colors. I'm also more into raiding and pillaging than I am animals, although I do own several Tigers hats.

2.) Does your style of music and style of dress reflect one another?

If my style of dress reflected my music I'd be wearing a full body condom.

3.) Fair enough. Speaking of which, if you could only wear one thing - always - for the rest of your life what would it be. I mean like, totally naked plus one thing ...

Headphones.

4.) So you've got a hot little tour coming up on your agenda. What key items MUST you bring with when going city to city?

Cargo pants (probably my corduroy ones), Teva sandals, a couple ganja goo balls and some Nag Champa.

5.) Okay lastly ... what's the most you've ever spent on a pair of shoes, clothing or accessory and what was it?

$450 on Chanel sunglasses for my ex-girlfriend. Now I have no girlfriend (holler Shannon) and a serious Bloomingdales bill. Go figure.

Catch Frankie before he bounces on tour on the decks tonight at our launch party,"Cake" Thursdays at the Old Miami, Detroit and Fridays at Northern Lights Lounge, Detroit.
