We're Obsessed With ________.
Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008It's no secret we're shoppers here. Do you have those select few items you just can't live without - on a monthly or seasonal basis? Us, too. I asked my interns to tell me what "stuff" they are pretty much hooked on at this tail end of summer and why. Here's what we've come up with.

"Burt's bees 'Super Shiny' lip gloss. This is the best lip gloss around. I love love love it! It goes on super slick, it isn't sticky and it adds just enough color for those of us that aren't really that into color."
"Le Sac Dress from American apparel. I just got this dress and am super stoked that one dress can give me so many different options! It's so great to because you can change the ribbon and then it's like a whole new look."
"Cole Haan Nike Air High Heels. These aren't just Oprah's faves anymore. I think I could literally run a marathon or more in these, or at least dance the night away without ever remembering that I am wearing 4 inch heels. These rock!"
Midori
"Odwalla makes great bottled smoothies and my favorite is Mango Tango. Not only is it delicious, but it uses all natural ingredients for a fantastic and healthy drink."
"Don't let this cute and cuddly bear deceive you. 'Gloomy Bear' is a Japanese character known for his devious, violent ways. Mori Chack, the creator of Gloomy Bear, has made a plush waist clip of Gloomy Bear's arm. I clip this striking accessory to my belt loop every time I leave the house."
"I recently took up deejaying and needed some new headphones. Angela posted these Boosted headphones a while ago in a different colorway and I just had to get them. This color scheme reminds me of sushi. Wasabi, ginger, and tuna colored headphones- these are just what I needed!"

"Sirius Radio is the best. So many choices of commercial free music, news and entertainment. I learn something new every day about genres I had never known a whole lot about, from 50s pop and oldies on the 'Gold' channel to some classic hip hop on Backspin. It's addictive."
"These Jeffrey Campbell lace-ups have been my staple shoe of the summer. I wear these with pretty much everything and people always ask about them. They're comfortable enough for all day, and they were under $100!"
"The Essie Neon Collection was on heavy rotation either on my hands or toes for the past two months. Even the names scream summer - Bermuda Shorts, Short Shorts ... you get it. Neons have made a major comeback and I'm all for them."
"Mrs. May's Cashew Crunch is the most delicious snack. Made with cashews, sesame seeds, rice malt, evaporated cane juice and sea salt, these are simple, sweet and perfect when I can't leave my desk."
Ida
"My iPod Nano is my pride and joy. If this little bad boy wasn't sitting right next to me in the cup holder of my car every time I'm driving I'd lose my mind! It hold 7,000 songs and 5 hours of video. My music taste ranges from mega 80s, modern rap and classic artists like The Beatles, this little Nano definetely gets me through the day.
"I am a personal fan of these high waisted shorts. I've never been a fan of low rida' jeans, which my super sweet underwear to the world while I bend down to tie my shoe. These shorts are extremely flattering and can be paired with some flats for the beach or heels for going out. I got them at Forever 21 for $25.
"Yes, my bathroom has a perma-scent of Bedhead's 'Headrush' Shine Spray. I use it about 3 times a day. It's perfect for girls like me who put their poor locks of hair through torture under the blow dryer then hot rollers. It tames each little flyaway hair, shines up your do', and leaves it smelling fantastic!
"I receive constant compliments when ever I wear Lolita Lempicka perfume out. The smell is very sweet and soft but also quite recognizable. Plus, the bottle alone is absolutely adorable!
