Amanda, patio style.

Name/Alias: Amanda

Spotted: Checking The Readies, Magic Shop & Battling Siki at PJ's Lager House.

Currently studying: Business major with a minor in Middle Eastern studies.

What you're wearing: Necklace was a birthday gift from a dear friend, tube top was a gift from my big sister, American Apparel pencil skirt, yellow stretch belt, black lace-up boots and bracelet from Lost & Found Vintage.

Fashion item you'll never let go of: A red fifties dress with deer on it. I bought from Lost & Found before I ever became an employee. Of all the dresses I've accumulated from there, that one is by far my favorite. It's so wonderful and it's gotten too big for me now but i'm going to keep it forever. I'll probably fit into it again later down the road! haha

Most money you've spent on something: Oh gosh, I bought a yellow Kate Spade purse for $350 a few years back. I try not to splurge on expensive stuff unless I really, really, really gotta have it.

Best cheapie find: Okay there are two really good ones. The first is a pair of vintage moccasin boots I bought in chicago that were originally $70 but I got them on sale for $30. Hahaha suckas! The second is a black scarf/shawl from H&M I got for 12 bucks. They have them in other colors and they're a great piece to add to your wardrobe so tell the ladies (and probably some fellas) to pick one up!

Describe Detroit style in three words: Expressive, stimulating, adventurous.

Current "trend" that makes you cringe: Argh, I hate to answer this question but I'm gonna do it. I'm not one to judge 'cuz everybody's entitled to do their thing but I would not be caught dead walking around wearing leggings as a substitute for pants. I'd just feel so naked and cold! Sorry to the 4857385 girls that love to do this!

Taupe Is Dope

Taupe Is Dope

Hitting the Detroit Urban Craft Fair this weekend was a sensory overload of coolness. Did you see the Kill Taupe booth boasting work from local artist Jason Driscoll? We sure did. Bright colors, creepy cupcakes, goofy animals and angry veggies? That's right up our alley!
