This lovely lady was all smiles Monday night as she celebrated her birthday with friends at delish Italian/ Mexican joint, El Barzon, in Southwest Detroit. Cheers!

Name/Alias: Sarah

Spotted: On Junction Street, outside of El Barzon.

What you're wearing: Betsey Johnson dress and belt, charm necklace from Mercado Sonora, Mexico City and Versace perfume.

Stuff you enjoy: Full seat riding breeches, feathers, charm necklaces, Chanel quilted handbags, blazers, glitz, silk and chiffon, leather, accessories and good skin.

Stuff you steer clear of: Polka dots, except for lingerie. Crocs. The color red, unless it's lipstick or an accessory and too much jersey, I like structure.

Any birthday wishes to yourself? "I want a pony."

How can you spot a Detroit fashionista? "They're a little bit dirtier than suburban fashionistas ... hobo chic. Reconstruction."

Those great shoes are by: Ramon Tenza.

Stuff you look forward to fall fashion-wise: Boots, layering, tweed and scarves.

Keepin' It Cozy

It seems to have gone straight from summer to winter without any sort of warning for us folks in Detroit. You may want to check out some goodies that will keep you all warm and fuzzy as that frosty chill is here to stay.

Taupe Is Dope

Hitting the Detroit Urban Craft Fair this weekend was a sensory overload of coolness. Did you see the Kill Taupe booth boasting work from local artist Jason Driscoll? We sure did. Bright colors, creepy cupcakes, goofy animals and angry veggies? That's right up our alley!
